Pay: £43,000.00-£52,000.00 per year OTE

 

GlobalForce Resource Ltd (GFR) are working in partnership with an award-winning Australian company to recruit qualified and experienced Agricultural Mechanics for positions in Mackay, Queensland, Australia. The company have been in the truck and agriculture industries for over 77 years.

They started serving the agricultural needs of Australian farmers making their first tractor sale in 1947, before moving into the truck market in 1948.

Since then, they have continued to serve the agricultural sector by offering a wide range of farming and construction machinery and equipment.

 

The company are currently looking to recruit qualified and experienced Agricultural Mechanics from the U.K. and Ireland, preferably from a Case or New Holland background. Candidates with John Deere, Claas and Fendt will also be considered.

 

The successful candidate will be trade qualified and have a minimum of 3-5 years recent and relevant experience.

 

All suitable applicants will complete pre-registration with GlobalForce Resource before being presented to the client for a video interview. Supporting documentation will be required to complete registration.

 

SKILLS REQUIRED:

 

  • Recognised Agricultural Mechanic trade qualification or equivalent
  • 3-5 years recent and relevant post qualification experience ideally with Case or New Holland Hay Machinery and Tractors.
  • Excellent experience on transmissions and hydraulics
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong workmanship
  • Sound verbal and written communication skills
  • Sound customer service skills
  • Sound problem diagnostic and resolution skills
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Effective time management skills
  • Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Able to multitask

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

 

  • Diagnose mechanical faults/issues
  • Carry out general servicing and repair
  • Ensure company and personal tools are looked after and well maintained
  • Ensure work is completed on time and correctly
  • Train apprentices and colleagues
  • Complete job cards for completed work
  • Participate in an on call/breakdown roster when required
  • Perform all duties safely
  • Attend training courses when requested
  • Any other duties as directed by the manager

RENUMERATION PACKAGE:

  • Competitive salary £43,000.00-£52,000.00 per year OTE
