Our client are looking for experienced Truck Technicians for their workshop based in Christchurch, New Zealand.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a DAF truck dealership or similar.  Fleet mechanics may also considered depending on experience.

The Company:
Offering Heavy Diesel Parts and Services; our client are a full parts and service dealer for Cummins engines as well as parts and service agents for Kenworth and DAF Trucks

The Ideal Candidate:
•Ideally experience working as DAF Truck Technician but other European brand experience and excellent fleet mechanics considered
•Trade Certificate in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics or equivalent
•Minimum of 3 years post apprenticeship experience
•Excellent communication skills
•Ability to work pro-actively in a fast paced environment
•Highly organised
•Providing the best possible service through a professional image and of a “customer first” ethic
•Adhere to all Health and Safety standards
•Embrace training and professional development opportunities for continuing improvement
•Have a positive attitude and will be a self-motivated team player

The Role:
•Diagnose, Repair and Maintenance of trucks
•Use your knowledge and skills to quickly and accurately diagnose the problem
•Using correct tools for the job install parts, equipment, wiring or programs to meet specifications
•Performing routine maintenance on vehicles, determining when and what kind of work is required
•Carry out service and repairs to vehicles in accordance with the times set by the Service Manager
•Keep all records up to date and in a timely manner
•To keep your work knowledge of vehicles up to date and to be able to carry out servicing, repairs, adjusting, and testing machines, devices, moving parts and equipment
•Make full use of service manuals and specialist tools
•Carry out your work in accordance with our health and safety procedures

Salary & Package:
Salary will be NZ trade rates dependant on individual experience on an hourly rate plus overtime plus subsidised company health care system and super annuation programme.
