MERCEDES HGV/LGV/AUTO MECHANIC ROLES – RELOCATION TO UNITED KINGDOM

GlobalForce Resource Ltd. is working in partnership with a leading Mercedes Dealership in the U.K. to recruit Mercedes HGV/TRUCK Mechanics.

If you are a qualified and experienced HGV/TRUCK Technician with experience working within a Mercedes dealership and are considering relocating, this could be your opportunity to secure a position with a leading Mercedes dealership and have a clear pathway to gaining residency in the United Kingdom.

Successful applicants will be trade qualified with 3-5 years post qualification experience within a Mercedes Benz Dealership experience

The Role of the Technician…

Main job function: To carry out servicing, repairs and maintenance on commercial vehicles in a timely, safe, cost-effective efficient manner whilst ensuring 100% compliance with health and safety practices and procedures.

Duties include:

· Ensure all work allocated is completed within specified repair times

· Ensure 100% accurate clocking on allocated jobs

· Ensure all repairs are carried out in accordance with customer/workshop control requirements

· Ensure all repairs are carried out in the most economical manner in the best interest of the customer

· Ensure all serviceable or items requiring repair are recorded on inspection sheet/TruckFile

· Ensure all work is carried out to the highest possible standard

· Ensure no vehicle come backs due to poor workmanship/diagnosis

· Ensure all health and safety processes, protocols & procedures are strictly adhered to at all times

· Ensure all service sheets/TruckFile are completed in full and correctly signed

· Ensure all inspection sheets/TruckFile are completed and correctly signed

· Ensure all items repaired are recorded and signed as rectified

· Ensure any items not repaired are reported to workshop control / customer.

· Ensure a brake test is carried out on every inspection.

· Ensure no vehicle is released with PG9 defects outstanding unless a disclaimer is signed.

· Ensure all oils & consumables booked to job

· Ensure all job card write-ups are legible, accurate, factual and justify the time taken on the job

· Ensure 100% first time MOT pass rate.

· Attend training courses as and when required/requested

· Ensure correct and proper use of company tools

· Report any damaged or missing tools to Manager

· Maximise use of diagnostic equipment, minimising customer downtime

· Have the ability to fault find and problem solve

· Actively promote any improvement in working practices

· Aspire to hold a LGV licence

· Have a basic working knowledge of manufacturer’s warranty and repair and maintenance procedures and processes

· Ensure all warranty and repair and maintenance parts are correctly labeled and placed in correct location

· Pro-actively liaise with workshop control on a regular basis regarding customer anticipated completion times

· Demonstrate the ability to work unsupervised

· Improve workshop efficiency by sharing experiences

· Have a high standard of care with respect to company vehicles

· Ensure all customers vehicles kept in pristine clean condition ensuring use of cab protection equipment

· Be available for breakdown rota

Skills and Qualifications….

Suitable candidates should have the following skill set:

· Fully trained Mercedes Truck/HGV Technician will be considered only

· Successful applicants must be Trade qualified with 3-5 years post qualification experience

· Must be committed to upskilling via ongoing training in any area required

· Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service by providing a courteous and helpful service to new and returning customers

· Maintain and follow best practice processes and procedures

· ‘Can Do’ approach to work

· Punctual and time conscious individual

· Flexible and adaptable approach to work and working hours

· No breaches of site or vehicle security

· Have a willingness to go extra mile

· Contribute to the overall success of the business

· Clean & tidy work bay and surrounding areas every time job completed

· Ensure personnel toolbox locked and chained at all times

· Ensure workspace is kept clean and tidy with particular attention to H&S issues

· Ensure all required personal protection equipment is worn at all times report any defects, deficiencies to leadership immediately

· Ensure all waste is disposed of in the correct manner ensuring 100% compliance with company processes and procedures

· Must be able to demonstrate a commitment to relocating to the United Kingdom on a long-term basis

Remuneration Package……..

· Hourly Rate – £13-14.50 per hour dependent on the experience level of the Technician.

· Shift Allowance – If a technician agrees to rotate across the late and night shifts, they will also receive an additional payment of £25 per day

· Overtime – paid at 1.4x usual hourly rate

. Our UK clients provide financial assistance towards relocation costs in line with His Majesty’s Revenue and Customs guidelines. This allows a maximum tax-free support benefit of £2,500 towards visa, NHS, flight, or initial accommodation costs. Details if which will discussed at the employer interview.
