PLANT/HGV/AUTOMOTIVE MECHANIC ROLES – RELOCATION TO AUSTRALIA

GlobalForce Resource Ltd is working with is an Australian national, specialist rental equipment business, specialising in providing ‘Total Rental Management to recruit a number of qualified and experienced plant mechanics for positions in Western Australia and Queensland.

Video Interviews will take place in Spring/Summer 2024 with prior screening beforehand.

The Role of the Technician…

  • Carry out mechanical inspections, scheduled servicing, and routine maintenance of companies fleet of equipment in accordance with manufacturer and SHEQ requirements
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues to determine cause of problems / failure
  • Repair equipment to restore it to full functionality
  • Ensure all required paperwork is completed and submitted in full and on time
  • Assist in monitoring reliability and equipment readiness for hire at branch level
  • Inspect equipment upon return and immediately report any customer equipment damage to your manager to allow costs to be captured / recouped
  • Clean equipment in preparation for hire
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers (as required) and suppliers
  • Undertake other roles and responsibilities as directed by the manager in line with your knowledge, skills and abilities

Skills and Qualifications….

Suitable candidates should have the following skill set:

  • Fully trained and qualified mechanics will be considered only
  • Successful applicants must be Trade qualified with 3-5 years post qualification experience
  • Must be committed to upskilling via ongoing training in any area required
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service by providing a courteous and helpful service to new and returning customers
  • Maintain and follow best practice processes and procedures
  • ‘Can Do’ approach to work
  • Punctual and time conscious individual
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work and working hours
  • No breaches of site or vehicle security
  • Have a willingness to go extra mile
  • Contribute to the overall success of the business
  • Clean & tidy work bay and surrounding areas every time job completed
  • Ensure workspace is kept clean and tidy with particular attention to H&S issues
  • Ensure all required personal protection equipment is worn at all times report any defects, deficiencies to leadership immediately
  • Ensure all waste is disposed of in the correct manner ensuring 100% compliance with company processes and procedures
  • Must be able to demonstrate a commitment to relocating to the United Kingdom on a long-term basis

Remuneration Package……..

  • Hourly Rate – $35.00 – $40.00 per hour dependent on the experience level of the Technician.
  • Standard hours for ST/FST are 38
  • On call roster with weekend coverage falling every 3-4 weeks (On Call Allowance $200/week and then OT per award)

Benefits

  • Annual Leave – 20 days per annum (plus public holidays)
